Here's the FET reverb kit that I built. I purchased the electrical components and built the enclosure.

Spent couple hours today on clean up 'start' on my shop. Time to reduce the piles I have built. Moving trans parts out I dont need any longer.

Some parts loaded in the truck. Take to work. Sell some as cores,, others into scrap dumpsters. I had 8 bell housings for small Ford 6 to C4 automatic trans. I kept 2 of them, for some reason

Empty boxes tossed. I keep the boxes if I "need them" , LOL Still more to toss, the recycle can was full, even after I cut boxes up

I finished putting back together the chipper/shredder that I took apart yesterday to sharpen the blades and get the flails unstuck. Got it together, started it up and ran it for a while, then changed oil. Wow...what a difference sharp blades and working flails makes. Gave it a good wash with the pressure washer. It's a '91 Sears model with 5hp.

Wife came out and cleaned a couple storage bins with the washer. We had lunch, and I came back to find the pressure washer running and water running out of the handle. 1900psi B&D pos. We checked online only to find that this model is discontinued because they were having so much trouble with the leaks in the handles. Sorry, you're SOL. That will be my last b&d anything.

Last week, the Cabrio (another pos) dryer quit working. Fiddled with it for a couple days, then went and bought a new Speed Queen to match the SQ washer I bought a few months ago. This dealer told me that the Whirlpool Cabrios were junk from the get go; alot to go wrong and expensive to fix. I parted out the washer parts on ebay, and at least got a couple hundred for those. The dryer, nah. A guy on CL buys appliances for fix up/repair. I got $40 for it. Good riddance.

Just after Holiday yard work. Hall brush to the back woods area cut rest of grass. A little time welding on the coupe!

Took the bad engine out of Shelby's car today. Her boyfriend did most of the work while I made a mandrel to modify a transmission slip yoke.

Assessed paint and glass damage to two of my vehicles from inconsiderate and illegal neighbors' fireworks. Angry as can be!

Spent the weekend at the beach with all the family. 800 mile trip each way. Headed home.

Recovering from a neat week end in Des Moines .... Looks like "Mobility Scooters" will be a part of my car show life from here on ... Sad They work great .. I did not take out a single spectator , crash through any doors , etc .. Shocked
I did get to see LOTS more cars & such "scooting" in place of walking ... Cool

And NO pain meds were needed for the entire weekend . Shocked

Bob ... Wink

Hung the gate today. It seems I made it the right size...not always the case when I make things at home for the cabin.

The gate looks good George

I spent half the day driving around Toledo looking for parts to rebuild a couple floor jacks. I found enough parts for one, a cheap import, but a better jack, also imported, I had to order the seals for that one on line. I put one jack back together, the other one is near done, but will set until I get the seals.

I spent the rest of the day modifying a slip yoke for a conversion I am building.

Cleaned my dual cone air filters. First time in 10 years and still not a whole lot of dirt in the bucket. Thinking I may not have a large enough of an opening and I may be starving the engine of air. I don't know how to do the calculations. Still looking for the answer.

You multiply 3 1/2 hp by two, and divide by Briggs and Stratton. A couple cigarette filters should do it.

Well, it's a long story. My arthritis has been doing real well lately, me not so much. Wednesday evening I drove to Crawfordsville In. on my way to pick up some soda for Frank's store in Montecello Il. The bed there did not agree with me, so I did not sleep well. After loading up, and driving back home, I fell asleep on the couch about 9 pm. I woke up with my knees hurting about 2, so I got up, took some pain meds, and surfed the internet until they kicked in.

Now, fast 401 swears that his motor is not a Briggs, but it says so right on his key.

Boy howdy .... Frank. I can relate. My arthritis in my back has been doing well lately. Minimum side effects from the meds.

But: my left hip has been acting up a few times here n there for 2 yrs. In recent weeks, the hip has ramped up the pain frequency. Will need a doc visit soon. My much older brother had his right hip replaced 4 yrs ago. He is 7 yrs older than me.

Have a Pepsi

Count me in on this arthritis thing! The middle of May every and I mean every joint in my body started to hurt, Lost all my strength in my arms and hands.. Shortening up the story, I was tested for lyme disease rhemutoid factor and something called parvo virus 9. All came back negative. Sent me to a specialist who thinks it may be a virus as my blood count was a little high. Wait 6 weeks and more bloodwork and xrays. I see him again on the 22nd. Meanwhile most joints are back to normal except for my wrists and hands- no strength and stiff to move. So that's why I've been quiet lately; cant do much wrenching and twisting.Tom...
